The Half-Million Hits
Yesterday, FunnyImageDump received 554,643 hits in one day. This huge demand cased some server problems and the site was switched off for a few hours.
This was caused by 20,000 people hotlinking images to shared the laughter.
I’ve now turned on hotlink protection, to save the server some stress, I will turn it off in a few days, after writing some smart code to solve the server stress problems.
Enough of this half-million hit madness, THIS IS SPARTA!
